Michael J. Williams, D.V.M.
Dr. Williams has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 10 years. He especially has a love for Emergency Critical Care Medicine. His journey into veterinary medicine started at a young age when he worked at his local animal clinic in Connecticut as a kennel attendant. He eagerly earned his way up to being a veterinary technician, reassuring his calling into joining the veterinary world. He earned his B.S. at the University of Massachusetts in 1998, graduating Cum Laude. He then continued his education at Tuskegee University where he graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. Dr. Williams has practiced in Alabama, Georgia, and throughout South Florida. He is a member of the AVMA and the Emergency Critical Care Society. When he’s not working (which is rare), he enjoys running, biking, swimming, mountain climbing, and running around after his 3 children. In addition to his 3 children, he has a French Bulldog-“Louie” who you may get to meet when you visit the clinic.
Cesar Torres, DVM
Dr. Torres was born in la ciudad de la Habana, Cuba and at 18 years old moved to Miami. He did his clinical training at the University of Florida after graduating from Ross University School of Medicine. His inspiration to become a veterinarian came from his mom who also studied veterinary medicine. Animals have been a lifelong passion of Dr. Torres; he grew up with pets and always enjoyed going to the local animal fairs and rodeos. His favorite animal is a horse but he also loves dogs, cats and cows. When he’s not working he enjoys soccer, baseball and video games. He loves the outdoors and spending time at the beach.
Mary Ann
Mary Ann has been in the veterinary field for over 20 years and co-founded AEC in January 2013, having previously worked at a high profile practice in Miami. She has always loved helping people, especially children, and dreamed of working with animals since she was a toddler. She has pursued these passions by earning her B.S. in Exceptional Student Education and previously worked both in the classroom with children and also in animal healthcare clinics. She has worked in nearly every capacity during her long tenure in the veterinary industry; AEC benefits greatly from that experience as it has made her a well-rounded Practice Manager who cares deeply for her animal clients as well as their loving owners. When she’s not busy managing the clinic, she’s managing her household which includes 4-legged babies “Cielo” a rescue from Paws 4 You Rescue, “Luke” a guinea pig AND her three 2-legged human babies: Brooklyn, Ashton & Penelope.

Karen
I love all animals, but horses and cats are my favorite. I got my first horse in 1976 and at one time had 3 horses at once, started working for a horse vet in the early ’80s, and then after Hurricane Andrew, I crossed over to cat and dog vet. Worked as both receptionist and vet tech with horse vet and with dog and cat vet. I have 2 sons and a granddaughter who is my life. I currently live with one of my sons, 9 cats, 4 dogs, 2 rats, and 1 rabbit.
